Red Ripe Raspberries
It’s summer time and that means fresh fruits and veggies are a plenty. One of my favorites is Raspberries. To me, they taste like summer.
Sadly, they do not keep long. So, here are a couple ideas that might help.
- Raspberries only keep 1-2 days, so plan to use them soon after you purchase or pick them.
- Store them unwashed and dry in the original container or a bowl lined with a paper towel covered with plastic wrap.
- Raspberries freeze well. Simply wash them gently with cool water and then spread them out on paper towels to dry. Place the raspberries in freezer bags one layer deep and freeze flat. They will keep up to a year and are excellent in smoothies, baking, and sauces.
- Or you can do what I do – just eat them fresh right way!
