Health is a 4-legged stool: adequate sleep, moving everyday, eating whole foods, and drinking enough water.
Sleep — tracking your quality of sleep makes a difference. There are all kinds of wearables that can help. My favorite is the Oura Ring. It’s HSA/FSA eligible too!
Movement — Strength training, walking, stretching, mobility training …. are all important.
- Add a weighted vest to your walk. My recommendation is to start at 8 or 12 pounds. Start slow.
- Want a library of streaming workouts? How about BODi — with this membership you have access to hundreds of at home workouts. Choose from weight lifting to yoga to Pilates to dance.
Eating — eating whole foods, ones that had a mother or were grown on a tree, is key to feeling better and having more energy. But sometimes we need a little help to get all the nutrition needed.
- My favorite nutrition shake is Shakeology – A feel better, have more energy nutrition and protein shake
- The all natural “Go-Juice” that will get you through the toughest workouts: Energize
- Say good-bye to sore muscles with Recover
Water — any water bottle will work. I just happen to like this 30 ounce Stanley. It keeps my water cool all day.
