Romaine Steaks

Summer is here and that means it is grilling season.  One of our favorite things to grill is vegetables.  And the boys’ all-time favorite grilled vegetable is Romaine steaks. You can’t believe how much they eat when this is on the menu.

Ingredients:

  1. Hearts of Romaine
  2. Olive oil
  3. Caesar Dressing
  4. Shaved or grated parmesan cheese
  5. Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Heat grill to a medium high heat.
  2. Cut the hearts of Romaine lettuce in half, wash and pat dry
  3. Brush the flat surface of the lettuce with olive oil
  4. Place the oiled surface down on the grill for just a few minutes until the edges of the lettuce start to brown.
  5. Serve drizzled with Caesar dressing and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Salt and pepper to taste.
